Kitchen Progress

Here are some photos of the kitchen when we started working on it a couple days ago. It is quite different now, but I will put up other photos.

Poor baby

Do you ever feel so hopeless at times? I know I do right now. Sydney has been in so much pain and we didn't know what to do for her. We finally took her to the doctor today and he said she had a little ear infection. You know, I believe mothers have some sort of intuition. I felt last week that we should take her to the doctor for an ear infection. She had gotten really cranky and was playing with her ears a lot. But, I ignored my intuition and thought it was teething and discovery of her ears. Well, now I know to trust my instincts. Now we have a baby who is in so much pain, she can't even eat or sleep. Plus we don't have health insurance. Don't even get me started on that topic. :( I hope this medicine helps. Soon. I feel bad for her and I hate to see her cry and not be happy self. I'd post a picture, but she'd probably be crying in it.

I just looked at Ali Edwards blog and saw this post. I love Sydney.
It's funny to have a daughter named after a major city in Australia.

Remodeling

Josh and I are busy remodeling our condo. We were planning on selling it beginning of October so we could buy a new house, but we decided to hold off and are keeping the condo for a while longer. In the mean time we decided to fix up some things we've been meaning to do. We have started on the wood flooring and are about half way done. It's a lot of hard work especially since the planks are so skinny and short. I am posting some photos of what we have been working on so far. Josh just spent the day working on our kitchen cabinets. We will possibly be installing our new cabinets on Saturday. I can't wait. This place is going to be completely different and I think I will enjoy staying here a bit longer.

Since we have decided to stay here I decided I need a place to set up my scrap stuff. Everything is in Sydney's room which makes it impossible to get access to. So, we are having our baby grand piano stored and my new scrap area will take its place. I am SOOOOO excited. I have been finishing up all my crafts so I can display them in my little corner to make it feel more like MY space. I'll love it. I've been giving Josh some ideas of a desk I would like built. Here is one in particular I love. Of course I'd like it to be a smaller version.

Over the last couple of days I've been working on some projects. Here is one I did today. I got the inspiration from Mosh Posh's newsletter. I don't get their kits, but I do get the newsletter. :)
I made an album from a kit I bought at JoAnn's and it turned out really cute. I want to get some pictures in it first and then I will post it. I also got the project kit from Jenni Bowlin's website. I am working on the flower magnets. I will post those when I am finished with them too. I've been busy all right.

Here's a couple of photos of Sydney from today. She's such a funny little girl.

Here she was playing with a little cup. She thought it was really funny that it could roll on it's side.

ABC pages

I finally finished them! These were a lot of work. I made these to sell on Ebay
Wish me luck. The patterned papers are by Polar Bear Press. Very fun papers.

We've got a mobile one

Sydney is starting to realize that she can move around more. Yesterday Josh put her on her tummy and she started scooting herself backwards. Uh oh this can't be good. It won't be long before she figures out how to move forward. I better start baby proofing this house. Good thing we are just about to start remodeling the kitchen and putting in wood flooring.
So I have been busy making pages for ebay. I thought I would give it a try. I am working on some alphabet pages and will post them here as soon as they are done. They've been a lot of work, but I love doing it.

We are still thinking about buying a home. We made a little excel sheet and calculated ALL our expenses and I did a few scenarios of income. It may be possible to get the house we want, but it will be risky as it is dependent on us selling our house for a certain amount. Hence the reason we are cracking down on fixing up our place. We will see. It looks like I will be working for another school in the same district I already work for so that would help get us a bit more income. Also I'm hoping I can make some sort of income through Ebay, but we can't depend on that. Josh just needs to ask for a lot when he negotiates his salary in 2 weeks. :) He's worth it.
(Here's a photo of what the house we want looks like. It is so cute.. Kind of small, but bigger than what we have. Hope it was okay to take this. :))
